Opera

A hooded figure forces a young diva to watch as he murders performers in a production of Verdi's opera "Macbeth."

A stylish, bloody and at times goofy giallo which sadly is the last great film from the legendary Italian horror film director.

Director: Dario Argento
Running time: 107 minutes
Released: 1987

Trainspotting

Renton, deeply immersed in the Edinburgh drug scene, tries to clean up and get out, despite the allure of the drugs and influence of friends.

An unforgettable and rather surprisingly funny experience about life on heroin, friendship, music and love.

Director: Danny Boyle
Running time: 94 minutes
Released: 1996

Kong Skull Island

A team of scientists explore an uncharted island in the Pacific, venturing into the domain of the mighty Kong, and must fight to escape a primal Eden.

The classic tale is retold once again in a gigantic, loud and action packed remake, which ties in with the recent Godzilla film.

Director: Jordan Vogt-Roberts
Running time: 118 minutes
Released: 2017

Escape Plan

When a structural-security authority finds himself set up and incarcerated in the world's most secret and secure prison, he has to use his skills to escape with help from the inside.

You hit like a vegetarian! The only reason to watch this film is because of the teaming between Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Director: Mikael Hafstrom
Running time: 115 minutes
Released: 2013

The Sopranos season 1. James really sells the character of Tony as a
Complex mommas boy trying to stay a float in the new Jersey underworld.
Often too much talking and not enough action and sometimes to melodramatic. The constant mob movie reference were good and the history lesson on Italians was refreshing. It just funny they used the most stereotypical members of the ethnic group to delay it. Michael Corleone haves them all killed and Tommy would wipe the floor with them.

Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!

A monstrous tornado unleashes ravenous sharks from Washington, D.C., all the way down to Orlando, Florida.

Hard to believe but this third chapter is even more ridiculous than the previous entries. Some cool cameos and one surprisingly well made opening credit scene but from there everything goes downhill really fast. "Third time's a charm" they say, but not with this one.

Director: Anthony C. Ferrante
Running time: 193 minutes
Released: 2015

Get Out (2017)

Absolutely brilliant, and thought provoking.! One of the best modern horror movies I've seen in a long time. It felt original, and fresh. Im so glad I decided to watch this movie at the theater.

First Blood

Former Green Beret John Rambo is pursued into the mountains surrounding a small town by a tyrannical sheriff and his deputies, forcing him to survive using his combat skills.

A dark and thrilling survival flick with great cinematography and Sylvester Stallone at the top.

Director: Ted Kotcheff
Running time: 93 minutes
Released: 1982

The Three Musketeers

A young swordsman comes to Paris and faces villains, romance, adventure and intrigue with three Musketeer friends.

Great fun and an amazing cast. As a kid, this was one of my favourite. It still remains the best cinematic version of the classic Alexandre Dumas tale. Followed by The Four Musketeers.

Director: Richard Lester
Running time: 106 minutes
Released: 1973

Gantz:O

People who have recently died are brought back to life and supplied with high-tech weapons to defeat an army of monsters in Tokyo and Osaka.

Based on the manga, this all computer generated film looks gorgeous and delivers on the action and twists even though some of the diagolues are rather cheezy.

Director: Yasushi Kawamura
Running time: 95 minutes
Released: 2016

Star Trek Beyond

The USS Enterprise crew explores the furthest reaches of uncharted space, where they encounter a new ruthless enemy who puts them and everything the Federation stands for to the test.

Just when you though it couldn't get worse. Tons of plot holes, ridiculous aliens design, poor computer generated special effects, ridiculous use of today's music and simply can't more forward as it still relies too much on the original series. Enough already.

Director: Justin Lin
Running time: 122 minutes
Released: 2016

The Love Witch

A modern-day witch uses spells and magic to get men to fall in love with her.

A beautiful love letter to the genre films of the early 1970s. Lush, stylish, funny and a great performance from the dropdead gorgeous Samantha Robison.

Director: Anna Biller
Running time: 120 minutes
Released: 2016
