Been listening to a lot of Kiss lately. Mostly stuff off of the 4 solo albums the original bandmembers released in 1978.

I enjoy most of the solo albums apart from Peter, which is just awful.

Peter's is the one I don't have yet. At any rate, I rank Paul's as the best, Ace's just below it, Gene's a distant third.

A lot of people hate Peter's solo album but its not that bad. He was into blues and older music which is why his was different from the rest of the band.

Judas Priest - Live in London - A live two disc set from a DVD of a concert when they were touring for the Demolition CD. Its also the last to have Tim "Ripper" Owens on vocals.

Yes Paul's solo album has some great songs. Ace and Gene in second and Peter far far away...

Having finally gotten Peter's album, I can say that my ranking is Paul > Ace > Peter > Gene.

Yes, Peter's doesn't sound like Kiss at all, but it's an enjoyable soul/R&B album. Gene's album just doesn't feel like it knows what it wants to be, if that makes sense. Some decent tunes, but as a whole it's just not satisfying.

Ok so I went back to them...

Paul > Ace > Gene > Peter

Gene has "Radioactive" which is an amazing song, the rest of the album is crap. Peter's entire album is meh at best. Hope that I will never have to listen to these two EVER again!

Sevendust put out a new album, "All I See is War", so I've been listening to that. They're one of my all-time favorite bands.

Went to a metal show at a local bar. Saw:

Pittsburgh area natives NATURAL CAUSES
Baltimore's CRAWLING MANIFEST and DEAD ATLANTIC

Intense, heavy, and a lot of fun.
