In "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix", Harry returns for his fifth year of study at Hogwarts and discovers that much of the wizarding community is in denial about the teenager's recent encounter with the evil Lord Voldemort, preferring to turn a blind eye to the news that Voldemort has returned.

Fearing that Hogwarts' venerable Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore, is lying about Voldemort's return in order to undermine his power and take his job, the Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge, appoints a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher to keep watch over Dumbledore and the Hogwarts students.

But Professor Dolores Umbridge's Ministry-approved course of defensive magic leaves the young wizards woefully unprepared to defend themselves against the dark forces threatening them and the entire wizarding community, so at the prompting of his friends Hermione and Ron, Harry takes matters into his own hands.

Meeting secretly with a small group of students who name themselves "Dumbledore's Army," Harry teaches them how to defend themselves against the Dark Arts, preparing the courageous young wizards for the extraordinary battle that lies ahead.

The new 54-second teaser trailer premieres in theaters this Friday with "Happy Feet" and online next Monday.

Speaking with Movies Online about his upcoming and already acclaimed
near-future dystopia flick "Children of Men", Director Alfonso Cuaron
spoke of returning to a franchise he helped blossom:

"I would love to have the opportunity of revisiting the Harry Potter
universe. It's an amazing experience to do those films. When you're
doing those films, you're surrounded by this amazing beneficial
energy. Everything that surrounds the J.K. Rowling creation...for me
it was two amazing years of my life and I wouldn't mind at all
revisiting that" he said.

Cuaron, who also helmed "Little Princess" and "Y Tu Mama Tambien" was
behind the third film in the series "Harry Potter & The Prisoner of
Azkaban", a film quite a few consider the benchmark that the other
films haven't lived up to.

"Harry Potter" author J.K Rowling announced to the world yesterday that the seventh and final book in her teenage wizard saga will be called "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". No publication date has yet been set.

Rowling confirmed on her official site that in fact she is still working on the book saying in an official statement that "I'm now writing scenes that have been planned, in some cases, for a dozen years or even more".

She continued "I don't think anyone who has not been in a similar situation can possibly know how this feels: I am alternately elated and overwrought. I both want, and don't want, to finish this book (don't worry, I will)".

The film adaptation of the fifth novel "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" will hit cinemas next July.

The seventh and final book in the "Harry Potter" series - "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" is set to debut on bookshelves around the world on Saturday July 21st.

The launch will take place a mere eight days after the film version of the fifth film, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix", hits theatres on the preceeding Friday July 13th.

Plans were to have the book two weeks earlier, but that would've hit the movie's publicity blitz and potentially cancel out inkspace and dollars for both properties.

Now the 21st date has been settled on. A relatively high $35 R.R.P. has been announced for US editions.
