I started to watch this Netflix series.
Anyone else does?!

When a young boy disappears, his mother, a sheriff, and his friends must confront terrifying forces in order to get him back.

So far its a good show (4 episodes watched). Its set in the early 1980s. References to THE THING, EVIL DEAD, DARK CRYSTAL. The music is good too. Check it out!

Netflix's "Stranger Things" has been generating much buzz since its release the other week, plenty of reactions seem to suggest it is one of the streaming service's most well-received shows with both critics and audiences.

At the end of its eight episode run, the series leaves things opening for more storylines next season. Netflix has yet to officially order more episodes, but those involved in the show are ready as soon they do.

The Duffer Brothers created, executive produced and directed the majority of the episodes, with Shawn Levy helming some of the others and served as executive producer. Speaking with Slashfilm, Levy revealed that "Stranger Things" events to come have been mapped out and there's plenty of material for more seasons:

"The answer is yes and yes. We definitely are hopeful to go several more seasons. And the plan is to continue with this set of characters while introducing a few critical key new ones next season. So I'll just say that a lot of the big mysteries get answered at the end of Season 1, but we are very much kind of unearthing new problems and questions that merit future stories and future investigation in the most enjoyable way. So we are in love with our cast and our characters. Things end up being resolved to some extent at the end of Season 1, but not entirely. And that's why we're so hopeful we get another few seasons to live with these people a little longer."

Ross Duffer says a lot in the season finale didn't get explored and they hope to tackle that:

"There's a lot there we don't know or understand. Even with ‘The Upside Down,' we have a 30-page document that is pretty intricate in terms of what it all means, and where this monster actually came from, and why aren't there more monsters - we have all this stuff that we just didn't have time for, or we didn't feel like we needed to get into in season one, because of the main tension of Will. We have that whole other world that we haven't fully explored in this season, and that was very purposeful.

We leave these dangling threads at the end. If people respond to this show and we get to continue this story - we had those initial discussions of where we might go with it. If there was going to be a season two, we would reveal more of that 30 page document, but we'd still want to keep it from the point of view of our original characters."

"Stranger Things" is now streaming on Netflix.

STRANGER THINGS Season 2: It's official! STRANGER THINGS Season 2 is coming to Netflix in 2017! The second season will consist of nine episodes, compared to the first season's eight episodes, and writers/creators Matt and Ross Duffer are returning.

Entertainment Weekly has gotten some more juicy details on the 9-episode, 1984-set second season from series writers/creators Matt and Ross Duffer; "I don't think we ever thought anthology," says Ross Duffer. "I think we talked like a larger time jump where the kids are older now and it's a different decade. That's something we batted around from the very beginning. But for us, there's still more story here, there's still things that are unresolved. We don't know about Eleven. We leave that up in the air."

I can't wait for Season 2. I hope they release Season 1 on bluray. I like to own my favourite shows rather than stream.

In the UK we have House of Cards and Orange is the New Black on Bluray/DVD so there is a small chance... Given it's popularity, i'm hopeful! (fingers well n truly crossed).

STRANGER THINGS Season 2: Up until now, the fate of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) was still unclear, but TVLine has now confirmed that the incredibly-popular character will in fact return! Furthermore, it looks like she will be a series regular for the Netflix phenomenon.
