ULTRA VIOLENT has been around for sometime now. It has become one of the most respected genre magazine and its easy to see why. Scott Gabbey and Art Ettinger are producing one awesome mag which actually deliver the goods and has guts... something that Fangoria and others have long forgot.

This latest issue, number seven, is 100 pages of pure horror and exploitation cinema. One thing that really impressed me with ULTRA VIOLENT is the quality of the articles. All of them are well written, interesting and very informative.

There is many great pieces in this latest issue. An interview with John Borowski, the director of H.H.HOLMES AMERICA'S FIRST SERIAL KILLER. One with Douglas Buck, director of the infamous CUTTING MOMENTS short films that I've been praising for years on GOREZONE. In Hell Productions are interviewed and reviewed. A superb interview with Terry Lofton, director of the NAIL GUN MASSACRE!

But there's more! Kate Hutchinson take a look at Nazi exploitation cinema, there's an interview with french director Gaspar Noé, of SEUL CONTRE TOUS and IRREVERSIBLE "fame". An interview with Scooter McCrae, a huge piece on MURDER-SET-PIECES and more! Issue seven also features over 30 well written reviews.

This was my first time reading this mag and it sure won't be the last. Hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on past and future issues. Forget Fangoria, with IS THIS UNCUT?, ULTRA VIOLENT is the best mag since FLESH & BLOOD. Get it!
